So since the beginning of this year I’ve been continuing to be on this journey of self-confidence and self care. The main reason why I’ve decided to do this is because I’ve been wanting to stop really depending on how people think about me and start trying to love myself how I am. Plus I’ve been wanting to have my own self-care routine.
So one of the things I started doing was greatly lowering my social media usage. I know from before I mentioned doing this but over the holidays I definitely fell off the wagon. But now from the hours of 10:00 pm and 9:00 am I don’t allow myself to use it. This makes where in the mornings when I’m getting ready for work I’m unable to check social media.
This has also allowed myself to do other things during the morning that is more helpful for me. Such as journaling, meditating, and working out. If you like I can make a video soon about my morning routine and self care routine. But so far this has been helpful for me since now I don’t waste time just helplessly scrolling through my feed.
As for mediating and journaling both of these things have been super helpful and I’m excited to do them more. I’m trying this meditation app called Insight Timer and I’m using the classes on there to work on certain mindsets that I want to change. When I combine that with journaling it makes me feel so happy during the day and much more calmer.
