So as I’m sure many of you have already seen I’ve started a 2nd YouTube channel! I’m so excited that I finally decided to start a 2nd channel and I can’t wait to start posting more content.
I plan to post on there twice a week on Monday’s and Friday’s. But I also want to reach out to some of you on here and see what you would like me to talk about.
Remember this 2nd account is all about self-care, self-love, positivity, etc. So feel free to comment down below any topic you would like to know more about. Or feel free to suggest any blogging topic I’ve discussed that you would like a video on.
At this time I’m pretty open to anything and I can’t wait to read your comments!
So there is one thing that I constantly struggle with and that’s relaxing. I’m always worrying or thinking about something that I shouldn’t. Usually when this happens it causes me to get worked up or anxious which is just terrible. So I’ve decided to try and few things to help me to relax and not worry so much.
I’m sure that many of you already know that I currently meditate and I enjoy journaling to get my thoughts out. But I’ve been thinking of trying to do more things so that I don’t stress out so much and learn to enjoy my me time and also just life in general.
So I’m someone who loves to schedule or plan ahead in some way so I’m thinking of starting to exercise more. Not anything crazy but at least 10 mins a day a few days a week and then work on it from there. I’m also definitely planning to take some time out to unplug and not be on my phone. That is something that I do constantly. I use my phone for everything so it feels like I never put it down. Also like I’ve mentioned before sometimes it’s the cause of my stress when I start to play the comparison game.
But also with exercising more I plan to start eating healthy, reading more books, and also spending more time on hobbies.
So those are my plans on trying to relax more or de-stress. But now I want to know some of yours? What do you do to relax? I can’t wait to read your suggestions. Hey I may even try some of them out.
So one of the things that I’m deciding to take on is by studying my bible more. I don’t know why I’m deciding to do this but for some reason I just feel the need to. But here’s the problem I don’t know where to start.
Originally I thought about buying a workbook but I don’t really want to spend the money and instead I’m thinking of just finding something on Pinterest that I can follow.
Also yes I know that not a lot of people are not religious but for me religion is something that’s important to me. It’s something that I’ve grown up with and helps to keep me grounded a lot.
So now I’m asking all of you of what do y’all use to study the Bible if you are religious. I’m curious to see if it’s something that I can use. Plus like always feel free to comment anything that you would like me to discuss. Also have a great day!
First of all Happy Monday Everyone! I know that I usually post a video on these days but due to working this weekend I couldn’t quite find the time. So instead I have a blog post for everyone.
Today topic is going to be on inspiration because I feel like it’s something that we all come across each day whether we are looking for it or not. But I’m also curious of where do you find inspiration?
For me I honestly look for inspiration all around me. When I’m in the car, what ever I’m listening to, at work, online, and just everywhere in between. I feel like inspiration is everywhere you just have to stop and listen.
Whenever I think of video ideas something they just come to me while driving. Usually it’s due to whatever I’m listening to at the time. Also a lot of time it’s the apps I go on and some of my favorite people on YouTube. While I mainly talk about anime on my YouTube channel I like sometimes look at other genres and see how I can make it pertain to anime.
But that’s just some of the ways that I find inspiration. What are some of your ways? Comment down below and let me know. I’m very interested to know.
So I’m sitting here at work and ever since yesterday I’ve had some crazy anxiety. Anxiety sucks and a lot of times I have no idea what causes it. But I do know that sometimes when it happens I get dizzy and it really sucks because it just makes my anxiety worse.
Now I feel like I’m going to cry and honestly I mostly just wish I was at home. I know some people might ask why I choose to share this but that’s because I hope that I can help someone. I hope that someone reads this and realizes that they are normal even though they may get anxious at times.
Sometimes I wonder why anxiety even exists and why it affects some people more than others? Also if any of you have anxiety or have anxious moments what do you do to help calm yourself down? I would love to have more ideas. Plus what are some of your anxiety symptoms? Comment down below because I’m really curious and I’m interested in try some new things to control it.
I know that a lot of people wonder why a person is so open online. Also when I mean open I mean being open about their feeling, their experiences, and also just anything else you can think of. Sometimes people are comfortable with being open and I can understand that. The reason being because they may not know the people that they speak with online or they want to use their time online not focusing on what is going on in their personal lives.
For me I understand both aspects. Sometimes I enjoy being more open online especially if I feel like it would help others. Like giving them encouragement or making them feel like they aren’t alone. I do this because I know of many others online who were open and it helped me a lot.
But I understand the other aspects since I don’t always know the people who respond back and I want to keep some parts of myself private.
So what do you guys feel about this? Do you prefer to be more open online or do you like keeping personal things a little bit more secretive? Comment down below and let me know.
So just last week I happened to read an article written by The Verge that talked about a unreleased feature from Instagram that would’ve hidden likes. The only person that would be able to view how many likes a post got would be the original poster.
The meaning of this feature was so that followers focused on the content you posted and not how many likes a post got.
Well after reading this article it got me thinking about how the platform would be very different if this feature existed. I feel like if this feature was around it would greatly reduce the comparison issue to some extent. I feel like so many of us focus on how many likes a picture we post gets compared to our friends that it makes us very careful of what we post for fear of it not getting a lot of likes.
Also I wonder if it would have a impact on how many people would have actually been discovered as influencers because of this feature. As many of us know a lot of brands look at which people have a lot of followers or likes on pictures and use this to their advantage when it comes to brand deals and things like that. Well what would it be like if you couldn’t see how many likes someone’s picture got? I think a lot of brands would not use Instagram as a platform for pushing a product so much and many Instagram models may no longer have a job.
I know many of y’all are probably thinking well what about followers we would still see that count. That is true but I feel like it would be unlikely to tell if these are legit followers or followers this person may have bought.
Overall if this feature existed I feel like Instagram would be a very very different platform. But to be honest I kind of wish that it existed. I wish that it was a feature that you could turn on or off.
So now I extend the question to you…Do you like the idea of this feature? Would you use this feature? Also how do you think this feature would affect the platform? Plus do you think it would be a start to helping to turn down comparison surrounding the likes or what a person posts? Let me know by commenting down below.
So this past week I watched a movie on Netflix called Social Animals. This movie was actually about 3 teenagers and their different experience when it came to social media. One kid uses his Instagram for photography and actually got pretty famous for it, another girl is trying to be an aspiring model, and the last girl it seems it just trying to survive in this world with social media.
It was honestly a very interesting movie to watch and actually seemed to be one of the realer documentaries that I’ve watched about social media. This is because it also showed the downsides to social media such as the bullying, people asking for nudes, also the issues with FOMO, and “social media rules”.
It made me think about how I use social media in my everyday life and what I should do differently. I definitely recommend checking out this movie since it was pretty interesting. If you are interested in watching it then it is available on Netflix and is about a little over an hour long.
So if you decided to watch it comment down below on your thoughts and also do so if you’ve already seen it.
So a lot of times on YouTube I will watch videos where people discuss their nighttime routines or self-care routines and a lot of times they mention technology downtime.
Technology downtime is pretty much having some time before bed where you don’t engage with technology such as your phone, game system, tv, etc. Usually people use this time to read a book or journal so that going to bed is a relatively easy process or just so that they can think about things.
I honestly have yet to practice this. I am literally addicted to my phone. I mean I’m typing this up on my phone while sitting at my desk for work. I’m on it constantly so when I think of not engaging with it I start to sometimes get anxiety I guess. I started to realize that I use my phone for everything such as playing games and sometimes for even self-care but I know that it’s not healthy and social media plays havoc on my mental health.
So my question is if you currently practice downtime with technology what helps you? What do you do during that time and how long do you do it a day? 1 hour? 30 mins? Several times a day? Comment down below and let me know since I’m pretty interested in trying to do this.
I decided to make a blog post on positive self talk because I feel like it’s something so many of us don’t do very often. I can honestly say that I don’t do this as often as I should. Whenever I start to feel sad, depressed, or anxious I start to think and say things to myself that aren’t true. For example I may say that I deserve to be alone, that I’m not pretty, that I’m not successful, I don’t have any friends etc.
Usually once I’m out of this mood I don’t think these things anymore but I wonder if there is a way to reverse this thinking before it starts. I feel like so many of us don’t stop this talk until we feel better about ourselves.
I know that one thing I did for a while was writing the things I liked about myself on a piece of a paper and taping it to the back of my door. Then I also wrote in marker on a mirror I had a list of things I was with positive words and then a things I was not with words that were negative such as greedy, unemotional, and jealous.
These things were definitely helpful for a time but now I look for other options. So what I usually do now is read affirmations via Pinterest or I journal. But I’m always looking for more.
So what do you do for yourself that promotes more positive self talk and how do you combat negative self talks? Comment down below and let me know.
