As the days get colder here in the US I always wonder what is the best way to spend these days. These are the days that everything is cold, windy, and maybe rainy. It also the days where the last thing you want to do is go outside haha.
I know that for me this is the time I like to sit down with a good book. Sometimes it’s something that’s a romantic comedy, or a drama, or a self improvement book, or a manga, or something scary. For me at this moment I’m reading Stephen Kings IT and I recommend it for those that enjoy reading horror books.
This is also the time where I like to cuddle up with my favorite blanket, have the heater on (if needed), and maybe have a cup of tea or coffee. Currently I like drinking green tea with honey or if it’s coffee I like hazelnut.
But if I’m just feeling ultimately just lazy I’ll just watch endless YouTube videos, movies, and anything else that makes me happy.
So what do you like to do on these cold dreary days? Comment down below because I would love to read them.
I had a suggestion from one of y’all about doing a monthly favorites video so I decided to give it a shot. So I mostly decided to do favorites when it comes to things in entertainment such as books, movie, podcasts, etc.
Remember I come out with new videos every Monday, Wednesday, & Saturday. So be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already and click the bell icon to turn on post notifications so that you’re notified when a new video is released.
As I’m sure many of you saw my post yesterday I’m trying to use Instagram for only 30 mins each day. Well thankfully yesterday I was pretty successful. I actually didn’t go over my 30 min limit by the time I went to bed at around 10 pm. I also noticed quite a few positives.
I was definitely able to get a lot more things done. I didn’t realize how much time I spent on Instagram until I couldn’t spend anytime on it. When I got home from work I was able to work out, do some laundry, do research for a video idea, and also read a physical book as opposed to an e book. Quite a bit was done since I didn’t spend mindless minutes checking Instagram or getting stuck in the black hole that is stalking people’s pages.
But I did noticed some definite downsides. While I wasn’t using Instagram as much I noticed that the time I spent on my phone though was going up. Since I couldn’t use the entertainment of Instagram I was finding other forms of entertainment on my device. I was using Facebook a lot more (surprisingly), Twitter (which is awesome), and also watching more youtube videos. Usually each day my usage is about 8 hours on my phone. Well yesterday I went up to 10 which was mainly because of youtube.
So it seems my mind is substituting Instagram for different apps to occupy my time. But I have noticed that I’m picking up my phone less and less which is a good thing. So how to counteract the new issues of using other entertaining apps. Well I’m not going to put a limit on them yet but I am going to use today (Thursday) to only use my phone to read my ebook while at work. Plus I’ve been meaning to finish reading it anyway.
So let’s see what happens today and for those of you out there that are trying to see if you can do this I think you can. Trust me!
So I decided to make a new kind of video where I talk about 12 books that I’ve read with one I’m currently reading and recommending them to all of you. I love reading so I thought this may be good to let some of viewers know what I’ve read and possibly give them ideas. Comment down below if you’ve read any of these books or feel free to recommend some to me.
Also remember I post new videos every Monday, Wednesday, & Saturday. If your enjoying my content please be sure to subscribe!
