I know that I’ve done a video before on fitting in but this time I decided to relate it back to a few anime. The anime I chose were Peach Girl, Ouran High School Host Club, and Paradise Kiss. So check it out and let me know if you can relate and what you think.

So yesterday I got a chance to check out Beyoncé’s Homecoming special on Netflix and all I have to say is that it is amazing. The Netflix special pretty much gives you a behind the scenes look of Beyoncé’s performance at Cochella. It also goes a little more in depth to her pregnancy and birth of the twin Rumi and Sir.
You see how she picks the band, her dancers, her steppers and the reason why she decided to make the artistic decisions that she did. One of the things she says is that she wanted to bring our culture the black culture to Cochella for all to experience. She also chose the people that she chose so that all the people that felt that they didn’t fit in or were different were represented on stage.
It was definitely an amazing thing to see and it made me very proud to be not only black but also a black women. It made me feel powerful and proud to be who I am.
I definitely recommend other people to check it out if you can because it was definitely eye opening and also inspiring. I can also say that I think it will be inspiring to those that may not love her music because she has a way of touching everyone in some way.

As I’m sure many of you have read before I’ve been trying to practice meditation. I know that for a lot of people meditation just seems like a lot of sitting and breathing but it’s a lot more than that. For me it gives me a sense of calm and let’s me focus on the things that I love and enjoy. It takes me away from the stresses of life for just a little bit and also helps me to better handle certain situations.
I decided to try meditation since I heard so much about it and the benefits that it has. Sometimes I have moments where I have a lot of anxiety and get depressed and I wanted to try something to help me handle it.
Now I tried many different apps and even YouTube for simple meditation and some worked and some didn’t. The best advice I can give is to start slow. Start with meditating for like 5 mins or less and then increasing time from there.
Currently I use an app for Insight timer and you can use the meditations for free but there is a paid version for $9.99 and includes some really interesting courses. I’ve taken a few that have interested me and they have been pretty helpful.
So try out some meditation practices and start slow. Also don’t get mad at yourself if you lose focus it happens.
Now to be completely honest I love having a morning and night routine. Well I try my best to keep up with one. The main reason why is I love being able to have things in order and just having a set schedule makes things so much easier for me.
I promise it is like clockwork for me although there are moments where I do stick to it due to life in general or just something going wrong. In the mornings it’s me getting caught up with something that’s on YouTube. At night it’s me just being too lazy to put on my pajamas. Also a lot of times in both instances it can be me getting distracted by what’s on my phone.
This is why in the mornings I have downtime turned on so that my social media’s are blacked out and unable to be used. I also get really interested in watching other people’s morning routines on YouTube.
Trust me I know this can sound weird but this has really been helpful for me. Sometimes it gives me information on how routines are beneficial and sometimes it’s helps to give me ideas on what I can integrate into my routines.
Some of these things include meditating, having downtime for my social media’s, journaling, drinking water in the mornings, and also exercising. I realized doing some of these things in the morning and some at night made me more energized, focused, and productive.

So one thing that I’ve always wondered is why do we sometimes treat people different depending on who is around?
Now I’m sure that many of you are probably wondering what I mean. Well what I mean is that sometime when we are around different friends will treat another friend much different then we would if it was just you and that person. I’m sure we have all done it but the question is do we recognize it.
I can honestly say that I have done it and a lot of times it’s without me realizing it. But I can also say that I’ve had it done to me and it really sucks. I also really really don’t like the people that do this all the time and purposely.
When it’s done to you it makes you feel like your not wanted. Or it makes you feel like you less than the new person that has came around. I’ve had it done to me so much that depending on the person I can anticipate when it’s going to happen.
Well my challenge for everyone and also myself is to recognize when you do this and try to change that behavior. This behavior doesn’t make the other person feel good about themselves and if it’s too frequent it can make you look like a terrible friend.

I’m so happy that it’s Friday! Friday are definitely one of my favorite days besides Saturday. One thing that I love about Friday’s is being excited that the weekend is coming up. Even if I have nothing planned it just feels nice to be able to know that the next day I don’t have to work.
This weekend I’m going to try and start a new anime which I’m not sure what it will be yet but regardless I’m excited. I’m also excited to be able to try a weekend routine such as working out, meditating, praying, and also journaling. I do these things doing the week but doing them on the weekend also excites me. It’s my me time and I definitely enjoy it.
But one thing I also like about Fridays is being able to reflect on my week. I’m able to think about all the small wins I had during the work week and even things I want to try harder at.
Like a small win for me during this work week was feeling a lot more productive at work due to listening to podcast. Also I was able to eat pretty healthy while at work. Plus working out everyday once I got home. Another small win was in my personal life where I actually realized what makes me happy a lot of times. And also speaking with an individual that sometimes I feel insecure around due to me kind of putting this individual on a pedestal.
