Trust me I know that this is a weird title for a blog post but just hear me out. I know that social media gets a lot of attention now a days about being pretty bad for a persons mental health. I also can agree to this since at times when I go on Instagram and Facebook I start to compare my friends lives to my own.
But I think there are some positive social media apps that don’t cause me this kind of stress. For me that app is Pinterest. I know that many people use Pinterest to look for inspiration when it comes to recipes, decor, and just ideas in general. For me I’ve also found this to be the case but there is so much more.
I’ve used Pinterest to look up exercises, find interesting articles, find journal prompts, and also to find quotes that I find inspiring. All of these things have helped me to cultivate a positive attitude and also to keep me focused on goals and also day dreaming of what I hope for my life.
Pinterest doesn’t seem to thrive on likes, follows, etc. Yes it does have those aspects such as other people can pin things you pin and also can follow your boards. But it doesn’t cause me anxiety if no one pins a post or doesn’t follow my board. This could be because I truly mostly post the things I like and not things I hope will get likes or follows.
Another great thing is that your boards or pictures that appear depend on things you’ve pinned before and you can choose to hide images if it’s things you don’t enjoy.
I definitely recommend checking out this app if you haven’t already. Yes I know another social media app but this app is different than the others at least to me that seems to be the case.
I think that one of the things that everyone strives for in life is happiness. I mean everywhere you go there are quotes, influencers, and also people in our lives talking about happiness. So it got me thinking about what makes you happy?
For me when I asked myself that question I realized that what makes me the happiest is when I’m helping people. I like seeing people happy and especially knowing that I put that smile on their face. Whether it’s getting them something or helping them with a problem. It’s just always makes me feel nice.
Then besides that just being around the people that I love so much. So now I want to know what makes you guys happy. Comment down below and let me know.
So I decided to talk about this topic of negativity since this is something that many of us have to deal with on a daily basis. So I’m discussing ways that I handle it as well as other ways that I’ve heard about. So check out the video and comment below your tips on how you handle negativity.

I know that everywhere you look there are always people, quotes, and everything in between telling you to stay positive. I also know that staying positive can be very difficult especially when things just aren’t going right. Trust me I definitely know this feelings but I do have some little tricks I use to try and stay positive.
Think of something exciting: It can be anything that’s happening that day, that week, or that month. It can be anything that I truly can’t wait for. Usually this takes my mind off of what is making me sad or upset for at least a little while.
Stay off social media: I notice that sometimes the feelings of negativity I have stem from social media. I start to scroll through pictures on Facebook and Instagram which starts the comparison game. I know that it’s difficult to not be on social media but try using an app that makes you happy such as playing a game or if you can try doing something that doesn’t require your phone like reading a book, writing, or anything else that you love.
Journal: Speaking of writing, one of the things I definitely do everyday is journal. I journal in the mornings before I start my day and I also journal at night. The reason why I journal is to set my intention for the day and also so that I can get any unwanted feelings or thoughts out of my head and on paper. It can definitely be a soothing and wonderful thing. If you like I can use a blog post dedicated to my journaling habits.
Spend time with people: Now when I mean spend time with people I mean spend time with people that inspire you. These people help to lift you up and they also make you feel at ease with who you are. I know for me I definitely have these people that I turn to. Even if you can’t spend time with them in person maybe you can talk to them on the phone or send them a text. Also feel free to let them know how you’re feeling. Usually talking to someone else can also help you put things in perspective and help you love/like yourself again. This can also be helpful if your not one for journaling.
Those are just some of the things I do to try and stay positive and I hope that these things help you. Also one thing I want to make sure I add is that I’m not saying that you should ever brush aside your feelings. I’m just trying to give helpful tips that I use to get you out of that slump. But it’s okay to feel these feelings and your feelings are valid. So if you have a day where you just feel sad it’s okay to feel that.
But let me know what you think of this blog post by commenting down below and also let me know if you have any topics you would like me to discuss!
Finding your life purpose is something that I feel like many of us continue to search for. Sometimes we think it’s one thing but then it turns out to be another.
What made me think of this topic is because of a book I’m currently listening to which is called “The Greater You” by Trent Shelton. In this book he starts out talking about how he knew his purpose was to help people and he thought it would be through football. Well football didn’t end up working out and he ended up doing motivational speaking and that turned out to be his life purpose and what he was meant to do.
For me at the age of 28 almost 29 I still don’t know what my life purpose is or what I’m meant to do. Right now I’m currently working a pretty good job but I’ve always thought that I was meant for more but I just don’t know what. I do know that I enjoy helping others and putting a smile on their face.
So far one of the things that I’ve done that makes me feel like I might be heading in the right direction is by doing YouTube and trying to keep up with this blog. I feel like sharing my love for anime on YouTube and also my experiences when it comes to anxiety, trying to spread positivity, and also just anything else I can think of is putting me in the right direction but sometimes I don’t know.
There are days where I feel just so lost and feel like I should just give up but then I think about what I would be doing instead and it makes me want to continue. This is because when I see my thoughts going that route I realize that I would be very bored and even more loss if I didn’t have this blog or my YouTube channel.
Right now that seems to be the thing I’m praying about the most and that’s finding my life purpose and pursuing that. I hope that the Lord points me in the right direction soon. But now I want to know your thoughts on this topic. Do you know your life purpose? Are you like me and still trying to figure it out? If you do know your life purpose then how did you find it and how did you know for sure?
Comment down below and let me know. I’m definitely interested to know what everyone has to say. Also feel free to comment any questions you have or any topics you would like me to talk about on here or even my YouTube channel if your an anime fan.
I decided to make a blog post on positive self talk because I feel like it’s something so many of us don’t do very often. I can honestly say that I don’t do this as often as I should. Whenever I start to feel sad, depressed, or anxious I start to think and say things to myself that aren’t true. For example I may say that I deserve to be alone, that I’m not pretty, that I’m not successful, I don’t have any friends etc.
Usually once I’m out of this mood I don’t think these things anymore but I wonder if there is a way to reverse this thinking before it starts. I feel like so many of us don’t stop this talk until we feel better about ourselves.
I know that one thing I did for a while was writing the things I liked about myself on a piece of a paper and taping it to the back of my door. Then I also wrote in marker on a mirror I had a list of things I was with positive words and then a things I was not with words that were negative such as greedy, unemotional, and jealous.
These things were definitely helpful for a time but now I look for other options. So what I usually do now is read affirmations via Pinterest or I journal. But I’m always looking for more.
So what do you do for yourself that promotes more positive self talk and how do you combat negative self talks? Comment down below and let me know.
As many of you know last week I talked about positive affirmations and how wonderful they can be. So this week I decided to list some of my favorite affirmations and I hope that these can help others. I actually found this on Pinterest which I find a lot of positive affirmations so I definitely recommend looking there so enjoy!
I hope you enjoyed reading those positive affirmation and I hope they helped you if you have been feeling down today. Also comment down below on if you have a favorite affirmation or saying!

So for today I decided to touch on the topic of the term otaku and how others feel about it.
For those of you who don’t know otaku means someone who has obsessive interests. But it is mostly used when talking about anime or manga.
I understand that otaku is mostly associated with an negative term but I’ve noticed that the term is changing. Now while it can be negative I’ve seen it used in ways that don’t have a negative connotation and also that many people seem to embrace it.
I think it’s very similar to how many people look at the term geek or nerd. While before it was a bad thing to be called now many people want to be called that. Plus the clothes that many people feel that geeks or nerds wear is now trendy.
Also with the research that I’ve done on the term is actually used to refer to anyone that is obsessed with any particular form of entertainment. Not just anime! Which was interesting for me to read considering that’s mostly the context that I’ve heard it used to describe.
I also feel that everyone has an otaku moment. While it may not be all the time but if you have two people or more who meet and they like the same thing they are going to have an otaku moment.
I guess overall I don’t mind the term since we all have an otaku moment. Plus considering that the term is being used in a slightly more positive light it doesn’t have the sting that it used to have.
So what do you think of the term otaku? Do you think the term has changed? Also do you think everyone has an otaku moment? Comment down below and let me know!
