Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Review!

Published April 10, 2018 by Shay Taree

As many of you know I decided to reread the Harry Potter series and I finished the 2nd book some time back but I forgot to write the review.

But Harry Potter and the Chamber Of Secrets welcomes back the main character Harry where a new threat is happening at Hogwarts. A house elf by the name of Dobby tries to stop him from returning to school but that does not work.

Once back at school some of Harry’s schoolmates start to become petrified one by one as something evil lurks the halls. No one knows who or what is behind it but will they find out what’s happening before something even more terrible happens?

In this book you also get a few new characters such as the house elf Dobby, Gilderoy Lockhart, & Lucias Malfoy. These new characters bring some depth to the book and this also makes this book just a bit darker compared to the first one.

You also learn something new about Harry that will deeply impact his life at Hogwarts and like always there is always fun and havoc along the way. So be sure to check out this 2nd Harry Potter book if you haven’t already. I did enjoy this book even though it’s not my favorite in the series.

One reason being that it just seems pretty slowly paced throughout the book and then speeds up all of a sudden at the end. But it was still enjoyable to read.

I also recommend the illustrated edition since the pictures are really amazing. Also it makes reading the book that much more fun!

But what did you think of this book of you’ve read it? Do you plan to read it if you haven’t already. Comment down below and let me know.

Harry Potter And The Sorcerers Stone Book Review!

Published February 27, 2018 by Shay Taree

I’m sure that many of you are look at this title and going has this girl really not read he Harry Potter series! Well I’m here to tell you that it’s false! I have read the Harry Potter books and I own all the Harry Potter books but it’s been a while since I have re-read them. So I decided to reinsert myself into this glamours world.

The first book of Harry Potter is where you are first introduced to the wizarding world and of course Harry Potter himself. It’s starts off with you learning that Harry’s parents have died and as a young child he is sent to live with his Aunt, Uncle, and cousin who treat Harry like complete crap.

Harry then learns he is a wizard and is sent off to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This is where he learns that he is famous due to defeating the dark wizard that killed his parents and also makes his first real friends which are Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.

But there is something evil going on at Hogwarts and it involves the sorcerers stone which someone wants to steal. So Harry, Ron, and Hermione try and figure out who wants it and how they can try to protect it.

Even though I had already ready this book servers times it still had me excited from beginning to end. Also since I read the illustrated edition it was a lot of fun being able to also look at the pictures to go along with the story.

At this point I have now moved on the 2nd book in the series which I’m also loving. But if your one of the few people that have yet to read this series I definitely recommend reading it. You definitely won’t be disappointed.

If you have read this book or the series comment down below and let me know what you thought of it. If your someone that hasn’t read this series yet then tell me why you haven’t.

Six Of Crows & Crooked Kingdom Book Review!

Published January 26, 2018 by Shay Taree

Over the past few weeks I had been hearing about a duology by Leigh Bardugo about 6 thieves who go on a heist and then about the aftermath of that heist. They seemed like some wonderful books so I decided to check them out and let’s just say that I was pleasantly surprised.

When the books start out you meet the main character by the name of Kaz and he puts together a crew of individuals to help him on an almost impossible task to rescue a gentleman from an impossible place. Kaz is a thief and a swindler himself and this task will make him and his crew a lot of money.

In both books you witness how smart and cunning Kaz is and also how each person of his crew serves a unique purpose. You also fall in love with each of the characters and there are a few romances along the way.

This was a wonderful duology that had you immersed in this world of fantasy and adventure from the very beginning and one thing I really loved was that each chapter was told from a different characters point of view that was apart of Kaz’s crew. You also learn about each member of the crews past and how they came to meet Kaz.

This is definitely a set of books that you should check out and read and you won’t be able to put these books down until you finish it.

I purchased my set of books from Barnes and Nobles but you can also purchase an ebook versions of these books also.

If you have read these books comment down below on what you thought of them and if you haven’t let me know if this sounds like something that you made read.
